Interlaced (frame) question

Is there a setting that just ignores half the frames when the game is running in frame interlaced mode? This mode causes a blurry frame-blending effect that could be done away with if half the frames were ignored.

Go into the settings, there are several there. There are settings to remove half the fields which is what I think you're looking for.

Note that removing half the fields will give you half the vertical resolution and frame rate.

Alternatively, you could just go through the different deinterlacing options one by one till you find one that suits you best. You can also see if there is a built in progressive mode instead. Games like Star Ocean 3 have a button combination you can press when the game starts that puts it into progressive mode, negating the need to use deinterlacing.
