Invalid: [Bug Report] Star Wars Battlefront II [NTSC-U]
#1
# PCSX2 version: Official v1.4.0 release and v1.5.0-dev-2115-gf8787ca
# CPU options: EE/IOP defaults, VUs defaults, and No Hacks
# Plugins used: GSdx32-AVX2 (hardware and software for OpenGL, Direct 3D 11, and Direct 9)
# Description: When in hardware mode and with an internal resolution other than normal, there is a blurry outline around the player and background while in game. The easiest way to replicate this is to start a ground battle though the instant action menu located on the home screen after selecting single player or multiplayer. These pictures were taken using an internal resolution of 3x.

If you look carefully around Han Solo (the guy in the center)'s left arm, his gun, and the building in the back, you can see what appears to be a blurry shadow-like thing around them.

    - If this isn't showing up correctly, you can view it from the attachment below

# Other: Bellow is a link to a zip file of the GS Dumps and Screenshots of this bug from the two versions of PCSX2 tested (the v1.4.0 file has a black skybox due to a separate bug that was fixed in a later build)

If there is any way that I can help the removal of this bug, then please let me know!

Try using one of the half-pixel offset modes in the dev build. If that doesn't work, try the Wild Arms Offset hack.

The half-pixel offset modes and the Wild Arms Hack barely helped, if at all. There was no noticeable difference when they were used.

Originally PS2 games weren't meant to be upscaled so when users upscale them it can cause issues with many games, to alleviate the issues we have plenty of upscaling hacks to get around them. If you still experience upscaling issues then you will have to be patient and wait for future improvements.

This is a general issue and it will be closed as invalid.

Thank you for your report.
