Is it possible to convert PS2 Classic saves on PS3 to be compatible with PCSX2?

I've been looking all over the internet on help with this and could not find anything relating to my own problem. I've been playing Persona 3 FES on my PS3 via the PS2 Classics rerelease and I'm pretty late into the game and don't want to start over from scratch. Is it possible to use my VME save file or am I just out of luck?

Not sure about vme but i know .vm2 you can just change to .ps2
