Is my PC good to run games?
#1
Hi

I'm using the 0.9.7 version and I'm trying to run Final Fantasy X and Castlevania but the fps don't go above of 30-45. So, maybe I'm doing something wrong or my PC is not good enough?

PC specs:
Phenom 2.1x3 8450
HD 5770
2GB RAM 800 DDR2

Thanks in advance.

Try the things in my guide. http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-Things-to...lay-better. Also run DXdiag and post your computers specs (not the whole list with all the mubo jumbo just the specs, you'll have to edit the file for that) If my guide works for you though don't worry about it.

Yeah i thought it was the cpu. I'm kinda lost in this things actually and i was about to buy a new one. My 2 options was one at 3.4 x4 or a 2.8 x6. Wich one would give me a better result?

the 3.4 would be better at pcsx2 but the 2.8 would be better for everything else and future proof. i would say go with the x6 2.8 and overclock it to 3.4 (its easy just read some guides) and you will be fine.
