Is there a plugin that emulates a LAN connection?

I'm interested in playing a non-online multiplayer game with a friend who doesn't live even relatively close to me. Is there any plugin that emulates having two people using the same console?

I'm not sure if I said that well. Would it be possible to play a game like Tales of the Abyss in multiplayer without the other player physically having them playing on my computer with me?

You are asking for PC to PC connectivity, either by LAN or over the internet. There is no plugin doing either, but there is a modified PCSX2 build doing PC to PC via internet (NOT via sony servers) but is pretty much experimental and barely working. You can give it a try though:

I appreciate the quick response. So there's no way to emulate PC to PC local play at the moment?

Edit: Sorry, I read it again and it seems that's exactly what you linked me does. I thought it meant to emulate an online connection. I'll give it a try.
