Is there a way to accelerate a game to make semi interactive cutscenes (where text takes forever to load and you need to press a button to advance the text) go faster?
Some sort of speed hack?
I am not referring to FPS btw, but the speed of the game itself

The speed of the game is determined by the framerate.

Turbo-mode should work or?
Pressing Tab activates/deactivates Turbo-mode that is normally at 200% I think.
But as already said... speed is fixed to fps. So if you want to increase the speed you have to increase the fps

Really?
I think it is better to keep the framelimiter or?
In Emulation settings/GS-Settings there are some boxes for framerates (Basis/Slowmo/Turbo).
Turbo is set to 200% but you can increase it...

The above answers. To the extend that I know there is no way to skip cutscenes unless it does exist in the game, try hitting the Start button, it's the most common way to get the skip option.

unfortuntely, it does not work in some scenes of okami.
It took me 34 minutes to get through the opening video

It definitely not a video though. its animation, some of which repeats until you click a button to move on to the next part.
And the largest delay is actually waiting for the dialog to appear on the screen. During normal gameplay you can press X to make it appear and then X to progress, but during some scenes you can't press to make it appear faster
I think the solution is to increase turbo above 200%...
Unfortunately, it turns out okami doesn't work right in PCSX2. Only in software mode does it render right and in software mode it lags too much
