Remedy the shadow problem in software mode for the Jak & Daxter games?

After playing them on my ps2 I just can't ignore that problem. I know about the hardware fix but then the eyes and face and random texture corruption happens with all the titles.

There is noway to disable that shadow while in software mode??

No, because I don't think skipdraw works in software mode. It is afterall a "Hardware hack".
