Issues with Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition
#1
Hey folks, Im having no success with figuring out the proper plugin settings for pcsx2 with my setup

Processor: Intel i7 920 2.6ghz
Graphics card: Radeon HD4870 512mb
Sound: Onboard HD Xfatality
Operating system: Windows 7 build 7100
Gfx plugin: GSdx 1476 (MSVC 15.00, SSE2) 0.1.15, direct3d 10(hardware), Blend bff, aspect ratio 16:9, d3d internal res 1920x1200, and texture filtering
sound plugin: ZeroSPU2 r514-dev 0.4.6

Ive got the most current version of the gsdx graphic plugins and theres a "ghost image" around every creature in the game including dante, its just slightly off. Please really wanna play this game properly.

Also having problems with the sound, when it slows for the tutorial screens it seems to have some problems coming back up to normal speed. Already tried to use real time mode

First of all, what version of PCSX2 are you running? As for the sound plugin, you should give SPU2-X a try.
Athlon 64 X2 5600+ 2.81GHz [Windsor] w/ Noctua NH-C12P
Asus Xonar D2 w/ Logitech Z-5500
e-VGA 8800GTS 640MB 513/792 stock ; 720/1080 o/c
Corsair XMS2 1GB DDR2 PC6400 x2
Western Digital 500GB 16MB cache x2
Thermaltake W0106RU 700W

If that were the case then why is it when I run Kingdom Hearts with the exact same settings it runs flawlessly?

Because they're different games running in different engines that dont use the same effects, this problem is only in a few games when running high internal resolution. You have to understand this games are designed to run fine in the PS2 hardware and that includes running at their native resolution and even when some games run flawlessly at higher resolution doesnt mean all of them will, I'm sure it will be fixed to run fine eventually and maybe if you try other versions of the plugin they will probably work fine too.
