Jak 2;3;X and Frontier on PCSX

Hey all.
Total newb with PCSX, and all its settings, so please bare with me. I've played a few games with PCSX and they have all worked fine. My very first problem comes from the Jak and Daxter games, and I am not the only one considering what my searches turned up. Can anyone tell me how to get this working properly? Sudden slowness, followed by sudden bursts of speed, crashes and texture malfunctions like disappearing foliage and dark eyes that look like the abyss is staring at me from within the character models soul. Preferably with my save intact, but no problem if not. 
My specs are as follows:

 Intel Core i5-3340 CPU @ 3.10GHz (quad core)
8 Gig Ram
WIndows 8 64 bit Operating systems
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960

If you need any other information, I got it. 
ALso, my most recent problem is with Jak 2 where it first told me there was a runtime error, then it just crashes. I checked the log and it told me the GSDX memory overloaded.

It's a lot to ask I know, but if you can at least direct me to a tutorial that can help me understand the problems, I would also greatly appreciate that as well.

Please post the contents of the emulog.txt file after the problem occurs. The file can be found in "My Documents\PCSX2\logs" for the installer version or in "PCSX2\logs" for the portable/binary version.

Did you somehow patch your game? If so, how ?
Why did you actually name it 2.01 ?

No I haven't done anything to the game. I downloaded the iso and used it as it was. I haven't done anything to the actual game
