Jak II water bug
#1
Hello, so after some tinkering ive gotten jak ii running pretty decent, smoothed out speed can hardly notice it jump now, the only problems now are they eyes which i dont mind and the water, which really gets to me. Im not too savvy with this stuff, does anyone know of a setting that may fix the water? Its just lines, Im using dx9 hardware mode and aggressive emu settings, i cant use software mode as it becomes really laggy and blurry, no matter what i try in the settings,(i have an amd radeon r9 290) hardware dx modes are working much better for me its just this dang water its so ugly. I've searched and havent found much on this issue. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.

Intel i3-4130 cpu, amd r9 290 gpu, 8gb ram, windows 10 os, im using pcsx version 1.5.0-dev-2211, i have emu settings on aggressive preset and have mtvu hack on too, im playing from an iso

Try the OpenGL hardware renderer and see if that fixes it up. If I'm not mistaken, OpenGL handles some things like Jak shadows better than DX. I would also avoid using the DX9 renderer unless you can't get OpenGL or DX11 to work. Compared to the OpenGL and DX11 renderers, it isn't exactly the fastest or most accurate thing anymore.
