KH slow down
#1
Hello Guys. So I managed to get my emulator working well. FMVs work fine and the combat system in Kingdom hearts runs smoothly.

I have a rather odd slow down issue during Destiny Island.

When the camera angle is facing the tree house and water fall my FPS drop down to 36-42

When i look away ( towards the ocean ) the FPS rapidly shoots up to about 80 FPS then settles back down to 60 fps

Ive tried messing with the settings in the plug ins and all sorts of things but to no avail.

Any ideas? I could keep playing but I am not sure if other spots in the game will also have this issue if I continue to keep playing.

Im not very good at all this technical stuff lol but I did google a lot and tried tons of my own methods. But to no avail.

Any help would be great Laugh

Thanks for reading

If you have quite a good machine, you can switch to software mode during this particular scene.
IIRC, it speeds things up
CPU : I7 2600K Oc'ed @ 4.2Ghz
Mobo : Intel P67 southbridge
GPU : NVIDIA Geforce GTX 750 Ti
RAM : 6 Go

It could just be demanding to visualize that waterfall.

Maybe you can tell us first your specs and the settings you have. KH should be not very demanding.

Well the cpu is weak
No wonder that it struggles.

I would guess you will suffer from more slowdown's during the game. Not much you can do against it.

You can tinker with speedhacks but I think it will not help much.
