KH1 from CD rom ... help please

OK so im new to this emmulation .. i have a ps1 (ran by epsxe) works beautifully on my pc.. but when i try to run KH1 on my pcsx2 its very laggy (this is booting from the cd drive with the physical copy of the game)
.. im running a dell inspiron with the latest graphics card installed .. 4GB ram , 500GB hard drive, plenty enough to run the console smoothly .. i have pcsx2 version 1.0.0 (latest release) ... im completely lost on how to fix the lagging issue .. i can choose between direct x 9 & 10 .. ive played with it so muchi just reset my settings to default..

Make an iso of it, its very slow when running it from the DVD
