Note that the subtitle font map in Kingdom Hearts series games on PS2 is BAD and buggy and very bad and roughly made. Even on PS2 you will notice artifacts but due to lower resolution or/and bad scalling they get hidden. Proof is the English patch of KH2FM+, the letters in the font map never reach the places the artifacts are so they are fully viewable standalone without being "masked" by the letter in either PS2 or PCSX2. That's because the application on the SDK that compresses the font map is faulty and produces aliased results.
