Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix 60fps hack.

I have a question, is there anyway to keep the cutscenes at normal speed when you have the 60fps cheat enabled for kh1fm? The cutscenes go by really fast for some reason.

Not really a huge issue, but it could get annoying if you're playing it for the story.

When it comes to gameplay though, it's totally worth the minor glitching to have that 60fps.

Is the video faster for you guys? during the cutscenes?

can someone help me out, so my computer specs are higher than most people ive seen on video play with this 60 fps hack but for some reason it still lags when I play it, I have all default settings except that I turned speedhacks on and the native to 5x
Specs:
AMD FX-8350
Sapphire R9 270x
8 Gigs Ram
600w PSU

Internal resolution 5xnative? Sounds reasonable.
Also which speedhacks have you turned on? Let me guess: all?
What are ee and gs values during slowdowns?

I don't think that CPU, with its 1507 STR, is powerful enough for running Kingdom Hearts II at 60FPS, even less so if you're running it at 5x IR. Have you tried native resolution to see if that helps?

It breaks some of the calculations in the game though. In the grandstander mini game in KH2 (hitting ball while preventing it from touching the ground), the ball goes up only half as much as 'normal gameplay' per hit, making it impossible to do it. Looks like the distance the ball goes up is influenced by the framerate, perhaps?

EDIT: Also happens with the patch on the first post...

EDIT 2: Also halves the distance of 'Quick Run'...

In the Re:COM game, the 'Goofy Smash' move also has the same problem (where Goofy and Sora alternately hits an enemy upward and smash it back down). The part where the enemy goes up seemed to have lower height that normal.

Have you guys seen this video? It shows some of the issues of the 60 FPS patch. I love the patch but I figured some people would like to know the issues with it:

Maybe we should add some of this stuff to the OP?

LIST OF KINGDOM HEARTS 60 FPS ISSUES

Let me know if I'm missing anything.

BYPASS METHOD: To bypass an issue, you can simply save your game in-game (not via save state) before the issue, disable the 60 FPS hack, play the game in 30 FPS to complete the problematic section, save your game in-game, re-enable the 60 FPS hack, and continue playing in 60 FPS.

Kingdom Hearts 1 issues:

NOTE: These issues pertain to the original patch. They should be fixed in the new version linked below.

- FMVs run twice as fast (not a big issue since there's only like 2 FMVs in the entire game - the opening and ending).
- Some cutscene dialogue may interrupt lines (very rare, not a big issue).
- Green and red Trinities are completely broken - doing them will freeze the game! Blue, yellow, and white work perfectly fine. Requires bypass method.
- Ringing the bell in Traverse Town will probably freeze the game. Requires bypass method.

Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories issues:

- The 'Goofy Smash' move (where Goofy and Sora alternately hits an enemy upward and smash it back down). The part where the enemy goes up seemed to have lower height that normal.

Kingdom Hearts 2 (and Final Mix) issues:

- FMVs run twice as fast (remedied by updated code below for Final Mix version only). The game isn't FMV-heavy anyway.
- In the grandstander mini game in Twilight Town, the ball only rises half as high. If you are seriously attempting Grandstander, do the bypass method.
- Many things with timers probably fill up twice as fast (such as the lantern lighting in Beast's Castle, as well as the Solar Sailor fight in Tron.) This can make them significantly harder. Do the bypass method.
- Atlantica music mini-game is broken, all timing is off. Do the bypass method.
- Sephiroth battle is more difficult (and possibly other bosses. It seemed to me that Larxene's final move rotates twice as fast with 60 FPS). if you are seriously attempting to defeat a boss, or you're having trouble, do the bypass method.)
- Quick Run distance is cut in half.
- Cavern of Remembrance is more difficult, but should still be beatable with the 60FPS hack. However, you should probably just use the bypass method when you are seriously planning to complete it.
- Gravity is slightly increased.
- Due to the gravity thing, the Saix data battle is impossible to beat, since you can never perform the reaction command with 60 FPS. Use the bypass method.

I know this is old but can anyone tell me how to disable 60FPS on KH2? I tried everything and it just doesn't change anything.

Uh...KH2 doesn't have native 60 FPS. You can enable 60FPS with the .pnach file so if you already did that to disable it you just need to edit it out or delete it.
