Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix Problems

This game is going ridiculously slow. at cut-scenes it's at a pretty good 40-50 fps and then durinng the actual game it goes down to 20.

I have a Pentium 4 CPU 3 GHz
and 512 Mb of RAM

Would adding a gig of ram help speed it up?

I don't know my graphics card etc. i assume it's decent.

can anyone help me out here before i get banned for an honest mistake?

I'd just like to know if increasing my RAM will help the fps increase

No you need better CPU,ram is not so important but at least 1gb is better and probably better video card.
