Kingdom Hearts 2 OpenGL issue
#1
uuh... hi.

yes another KH thread.
So after a couple of revision downloads, I noticed that Kingdom Hearts 2 has an unintended transparent UI.

I know those GS error have always been there.

Not a big issue since I can use GSDX11 but will miss out on the blend feature that I have waited long for. =/

Is there a work around? I'm sure it's no bug.

There is an amd driver bug so you must use 1.4 not git

Set Blending Unit Accuracy to Ultra, it will solve the issue. If you're lucky, it won't cripple performance. Laugh

That's ALWAYS going to kill the performance on AMD cards.

Hell, on my R9-280 it cripples the FPS in kingdom hearts 2 down to literally 8~12 FPS. (Originally runs at fullspeed).
AMD Ryzen 5 3600 @ 3.60~4.20 GHz | Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB (2x16GB) DDR4-3200
MSI GeForce GTX 1660 Super @ 6 GB | Samsung 980 1TB | Windows 10 Pro x64 (22H2)

Some games aren't bothered by it at all. Devil May Cray runs 100% at 6x native with BUA on Ultra. Wink

Don't see how that's possible when a game like KH2 or ToA, or any other game I've run with it runs like crap with that option on Ultra, but eh. Must be my computer then I guess.

Yeah, in KH1 I go from 230fps with my blending unit accuracy at none down to 40 with it set to ultra.

Like I said, if you're lucky. Obviously, the KH games aren't among those lucky few exceptions.

But you just recommended using the ultra setting for the OP, when he/she wants to play a kingdom hearts game.....

Yes, but I couldn't see into the future when Ryudo posted how it affected KH2.
