Kingdom Hearts 2 Pause

I have kingdom Hearts 2 loaded and running however every time i hit pause the menu doesnt pop up. The game pauses and makes the sounds of me scrolling through the menu i just cant see it. Any idea?

What is your pc and are using using any non default settings(speed hacks,frame skipping or some GSdx options)
Also,when you press Start what exactly happen...the screen freeze or what.

Can you post a screenshot when you try to enter the menus(pressing the start button)
