Kingdom Hearts Audio Sync Issues
#1
I decided to play Kingdom Hearts in PCSX2 today and unfortunately I've ran into an audio sync issue. Everything else runs perfectly, my FPS is great but unfortunately the sound is a second or two behind the video. I've searched these forums as well as Google for the last hour trying to find a fix but nothing I've found has helped so I made this topic to ask for help. I reset all of my plugin settings to default because I had changed so many trying to fix the problem. Here are my PC specs:

Windows 7 64-bit
AMD FX4100 3.6GHz Quad-Core
XFX HD5770 1GB
8GB DDR3 RAM

As I said my FPS and everything else is perfect so I doubt it's a hardware issue, it's just the audio that is giving me trouble. These are the plugins I'm using (I just downloaded PCSX2 today so it should be the newest version of everything):

GSdx 5334
LilyPad 0.11.0
SPU2-X r5324 2.0.0
cdvdGigherz r4488
USBnull Driver 0.7.0
FWnull Driver 0.7.0
DEV9null Driver 0.5.0

I do actually own the game so if the fix involves making a new iso or anything like that I can do it as long as you let me know how. I would greatly appreciate any help!

Start off by downloading the latest SVN.

Now, I've never experienced this problem before and KH2 and KH2:FM are my most played games on PCSX2. I want you to go ahead and make sure that your SPU2-X plugin settings look exactly like mine. I also want you to take a screenshot of your GSdx plugin settings, EE/IO, VUs, GS and speedhacks windows and post them here.

Okay my SPU2-X settings were exactly the same as yours and the problem continued. Here are the screenshots you asked for (they're all default settings like I said in my first post):

PAL or NTSC-U version? Also, did you download the latest SVN? 1.0.0 technically isn't the latest version. I can tell you don't have the latest SVN because your GSdx and SPU2-X are over 200 revisions behind the latest SVN. You can also try fiddling with the TimeStretch option in SPU2-X.

Yeah I downloaded the link you told me but I guess I took the screenshots in my older version haha. I'm using the NTSC-U version. I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable messing with those TimeStretch options. I'm kind of new to this so I have no idea what they even do.

The latency is a little low at just 50ms. Please increase it to at least 80ms to allow the stretcher some breathing room.
Other than that, the configuration is fine and I assume there is a different problem alltogether.

I've tried it at various numbers between 50 and 150 and none of them changed anything at all.

Try using async mode instead of time streach and see if that helps any and activate the mtvu hack there is no downside to doing that with this game.

Is not the FPS just too low? you should try at least EE cyclerate at 1 and VU Cycle stealing at 1 or maybe even two for that rig.

Well I figured out the problem. I was streaming the game while I was playing so a friend who doesn't own it could watch and was using Virtual Audio Cable so that Mumble couldn't be heard on the stream. VAC messed up the audio and created a second delay on it but I've fixed the problem. I'm kind of glad it happened because after playing with the settings in PCSX the game looks even better than it does playing on my Playstation. Thanks for all of your help!
