Hi there, I'm fairly new to this stuff. So, I was playing kingdom hearts on my desktop, no issues at all, runs fine. I'm trying to set up PCSX2 on my laptop for a trip I'm taking. During my test run of the program, I noticed my chat bubbles are all screwed up in the game. I played with different settings but couldn't get it to fix. I was able to set the DX9 to software renderer instead of hardware, but then my framerate goes through the floor. this is with version 0.1.16 of the GS plugin. So then I tried backtracking to the 0.1.14 version on the GS plugin, then all my backgrounds disappeared, but my sprites were still on screen. Any ideas?
Thanks!

For further comparison, here is a pic of what it is SUPPOSED to look like, with the screenshot taken from my desktop, which runs fine.
Thanks again for any help.

the chat bubbles will display correctly if using dx10/11 hardware display OR software mode.
which means you won't get what you're looking for under windows XP (at least with stable version)
did you give a shot to the latest SVN ?

I'm sorry I don't know what svn is.. Still new to all this. Well since I can't use dx10 on winxp, is there a way to use dx9 software mode and not have my framerste suffer? Chat bubbles and whatnot work when using dx9 software, just slow as crap...

software mode will be slow if your machine isn't up to the par
Can you please post your pc specs (even if I think they are really low since you're hitting EE 78% in hardware mode)

Yeah it's not a great comp, it's an old dell e5400 that got retired from work and gave it to me.
Gimme a sec to jot em down

Not great by any means, but it seemed to run smoothly at least in hardware mode, just the little graphical glitches that are annoying.

I just tried the SVN revision 5674 and still a no go. I guess I may just be SOL on this issue =(
If I were to toss windows 7 on here instead of XP, would I be able to use the dx 10 hardware and resolve this?
