Kingdom Hearts RE: Chain of Memories loading issue

my game runs perfectly but gets stuck on the loading screen almost everytime. I am about 30 min in to it and now the loading screen almost never finishes.

The little logo keeps spinning and the FPS keeps reading, but never returns to the game

is there a fix?

there's a couple of known bugs in the game, as far as i know. but using PeoPs SPU2 as SPU2 plugin seems to help avoid the freezing.

Always search just in case there's another thread with the same problem.

i switched to Peops SPU2, and disabled all speedhack i had.
the game still runs at 60 fps, but still has the infinite loading screen at the same point, right after the second story area in traverse town
