hey guys so I tried using this .pnach thing to load some cheats, and since Im a complete newblet about this (seriously, it took me around 4 hours to device this cheat code, i still dont understand a thing) i need some help activating this thing.

I don't understand, I put them in the cheats folder, the extension is .pnach, the cheats are enabled from the pcsx2 "system" dropout, so what's the problem -.-

Something weird is going on there, are you booting the game using System->Boot CDVD (full)? If so try fast and post the emulog again

Okay, that did it, but now I have another problem. It loads a very, very OLD save state (not save game form the memcards) and it won't start if i don't load a save state. It just stays at black screen, nothing happens, no playstation 2 logo, no nothing.

Your cheats are bad and cause PCSX2 to crash. The save state works because the patches don't get applied after you load it

Okay, so I did the following - i restarted pcsx2, disabled the cheats (from the system), ran CDVD(full), loaded my save state(since the cheats were disabled it loaded the correct, recent state), pressed "escape", enabled the cheats, clicked "resume" and they worked, even though it said "no cheats were found". For some reason it worked. I wouldn't consider it fixed, since it still says they don't exist, but they work so I'm content xD (I'm still unaware of what's happening, maybe this game doesn't hold well to coding?)
EDIT: this didn't work before I booted it from (fast). After you told me to try (fast) THEN it worked. Just noting.

That's pretty risky business there Tongue

I'd recommend first saving a normal memcard save. Then find out why your cheats cause the game to crash on boot

Well, I do use memcard save along with save state (basically I save state when I save memcard), as to how the cheat causes crash - as i said im a total newb on this, I didn't even knew I could cheat code on the emulator a few hours ago xD (you can imagine my happy grin when I found out)

You can start by commenting out the cheats one by one (put // in front of them) to find out which one causes the boot crash
