this games simply hangs before getting to menus. Literally no one has rated this game as "Menus" It has always been "Intro". Still freezes when setting to Legacy VU recompiler.

HW mode is broken in what sense? It needed fast texture invalidation to fix ingame blackscreen last time I checked.

I also checked the game, everything is in order (if you use Fast Texture Invalidation).
I had "Read Abort" endlessly appearing in the console log, but it didn't affect the game in any way! Who thinks what it means?
