Yes. It does what the 4GB Patch does.

I believe it is because currently PCSX2 does not need to use more than the 2GB allowed by the operating system (MAX). I may be off on that but that is my understanding of why there is no x64 build either because there seems to be no current need for it. Are you having issues where you are running into requiring more than 2 GB of RAM for PCSX2?

I don't have the issues myself but some games require more than 2 GB of RAM and we have to patch the executable file to play these games. Programs linked with the /LARGEADDRESSAWARE option can use up to 4 GB of RAM.

To my knowledge it's only games running the SnowBlind engine (Baldur's Gate series, Champions series, Wayward)
