Lag Issue

Im using pcsx2 0.9.8 and im completely new at this so can i get some help: When I play a game, cutscenes can run at about 55-60 fps, but during gameplay it runs at about 20 fps. I've read responses for 0.9.6 and 0.9.7 but that wasnt helpful. any tips to improve fps to a bareable amount would be appreciated

anyway there is nothing you can do on the q6600 overclock it too much on this it's a blown engine.
best way to change your CPU now except your video card.

In order to help you further with your problem, please make sure the following are all provided.

• Your hardware specs - CPU, Graphics Card, Memory, Operating System.
  
• The version of PCSX2 you are using.
  
• Any non default settings you are using.
  
• What games you are trying to play and if you are playing them from ISO or DVD.
