try setting ee cycle rate to 2

using directx10 or 11 hardware is much better than using directx9 hardware. try installing directx 10 or directx 11 on your machine. u may have to update your windows so u are allowed to install a newer directx. find guides that tell u how

if nothing works then u have to put a newer OS

i recommend u only use 8 when u are FORCED to do so and that time will come in a few years. by then all the bugs would have been sorted out, there are windows 8 drivers available for all your hardware and there are new versions of programs that support 8

Win 8 is $60 right now, so I would get it. I didn't say USE it yet

but there are drivers for everything now. Windows 8 can use Windows 7's drivers

60 bucks for W8? Where are you looking at? I heard you can get an upgrade to W8 from W7 for 15 bucks pretty easily.
