I had a lenovo netbook running an AMD E-300 APU and that thing would throttle like hell.

How is the Apple MacBook Pro, retina 13' (late 2013) for PCSX2? Someone told me that it actually played FFXII at 60fps easily.

I have this: http://www.sagernotebook.com/index.php?p...ame=NP7358

Based on Clevo model W350SS.

Runs FF XII and most games at 2048x1200 internal resolution without breaking a sweat. GPU: 860M. CPU i7 series. I'm sure on FFXII it can go much higher too, I just never tried it.

Can even run 2x native resolution MGS2 with Stealth camo enabled in cutscenes/gameplay at 60 FPS.

Gaming laptops today are really great for gaming. Can get a reasonably thin form factor and good weight (under 5.5 lbs) and have excellent performance.

Carries a $1000+ bill though unfortunately from resellers. Best prices in USA.

Would very much advise against that personally. You'd be paying a hefty premium just for having the Apple logo for lesser parts than you can get in a Windows laptop, or you could spend the same on a Windows laptop and get vastly more performance in games and PCSX2. It's not worth it.
Check out my snazzy Youtube channel, with many great PCSX2 emulation videos! Laugh http://www.youtube.com/user/curryking1 Laugh
