Heyas nice to meet you, names Shaun, okay, down to business...

My laptop I have now is 64bit xp sp3... 4gb ram, 2ghz dual core amd64.. tons of storage and a x1200 ati graphics card, i'm sure thats not powerful enough to run any psx2 games smoothely? I only really want to play some rpgs like ffxii, disgea 1 and 2, kingdom hearts etc etc

sooooooooo.......... I'v come to the conclusion of needing a even better laptop... but.. what hardware do you recomend to get, I cannot have a desktop because of space, the bedroom has literaly 2 inches from the door and the bed, so no chance and we have dogs that destroy stuff downstairs so... please lay off desktops =[

The fastest C2D processor and the best discrete mobile graphics card you can afford. And even then you're not guaranteed anything playable, there are just too many variables.
Your best bet would be to search the forums for other people's laptops that have tried the games, and see what you can find. The key is a non-integrated graphics card, something that you don't find very often in laptops not built for gaming.

I'll try and get time in to benchmark Kingdom Hearts and FFXII on my laptop (1.6 AMD Turion X2, Geforce Go 7600) and see how it goes.

Disgaea with a good chance (use only Peops SPU sound). All others would have a several problems.

well, let me put it this way.. I dont earn much and want to buy it next month (new laptop) so i'll only have around 400-600 pounds to spend on it which isnt much but i'v seen alot of laptops for around that figure that sound promising... I only looked on dell.co.uk so far but heres the ones that sound ok.. please say what your thought on them are or if I could get a better one somewhere else for a ok price please?

The general idea is get the fastest processor your money can buy, while also having a non-integrated graphics card.
