I gave it a run in the latest PCSX2 and it seems to work fine. Doesn't seem to have a WS patch though!
Can anyone confirm if it supports LAN play? The official servers are shut down ofc. We are gonna put an article about this on the main page and I need to know for the purpose of writing it.

Okay I googled and I ran the game myself and it does NOT seem to support LAN play, which is unfortunate as the official servers are ofc down. It does have offline botmatch and a single player campaign though.

I think I played the game recently online. It's unbelievable but a good number of players still play this online using real PS2. You need manual DNS set to 142.4.223.231 (it may have been updated now).

This game seems to have the same issue as DMC3 PAL version in 60Hz and King of Fighters 2000-2001 when ran in PAL 50Hz: black bar in the bottom of the game.
Tried running the game in a debug build and my debugger isn't able to show me the state of some variables, unlike the other games I have, which is strange.

Where did you see a black bar? I didn't see one at all.

Occurs in software (OpenGL software pictured) and hardware

-----

The game seems to have some issues with distant LODs in hardware mode (black or scrambled building textures, missing tree leaves) - could be mipmapping / texture cache problem?
Blending Unit Accuracy needs to be set to full, otherwise some textures look washed out.
There's also a slight double image effect, present in both software and hardware mode (Native, _x Native and custom resolutions)
