LilyPad 0.10.0

Everything binds as "brake + and -" so its useless. I tried a different plugin but I don't find any working, though other plugins do recognize the gamepad buttons. The controller works perfect with any other emulator and software. Even when testing with lilypad the buttons are recognized! But when I do try to bind... the "brake" issue makes it impossible. Oh... how I wish this gets fixed Sad

I am in the same situation. After trying each input several times and deleting the brake -/+ fails I have the analog sticks and d-pad mapped correctly, but that's it. I can't get the other buttons to register as anything other than brake - or brake +. The 8bitdo nes pro registers correctly in Windows, OS X, other emulators/games, and even in the test box in PCSX2. Did you find a fix for it?

There are two workarounds for this, none of them is ideal. First you can install and use xbox 360 controller emulator, I successfully used this and made the controller work. The other option is installing the beta firmware in the controller, which supports xinput wirelessly. It's a shame the best emu is the only emu that doesn't support the controller without tweaking around!

Hmmm. I've tired the beta/extended firmware to use the 8bitdo NES30 Pro controller as a PS3 controller, but am unable to to get far. The pairing code doesn't work and I can't find one that will (0000 doesn't work for some reason). Do you have a link to the Xbox 360 emulator lying around?

That's not the firmware I mentioned. Here are the beta firmwares http://forum.8bitdo.com/thread-1179-1-1.html and the one I mean is "add wireless Xinput mode". And the Xbox 360 controller emulator is this one http://www.x360ce.com/ but have in mind it's a little bit tricky to get it working!

Yes that's it. The real beta works. Thanks a lot!

Do Brake + and Brake - refer to actual controls on the Gamepad(does it have motion controls)?

There are no motion controls. So far PCSX2 is the only emulator I found that doesn't recognise the button presses correctly. Almost every button outputs that brake thing but other software recognises the different buttons properly without the need to install beta firmwares.

Yes, but you said in testing(I assume that means Device Diagnostics) in LilyPad it does work. In that LilyPad testing window which buttons/sticks are called brake+/brake-?

Side note: Recent PCSX2 v1.5.0 development builds(http://buildbot.orphis.net/pcsx2/index.php) have an exclude input option. It might be able to exclude the brake inputs so that the other buttons can be set up.

In the testing windows they are button 1 button 2 button 3 etc but when assigning the buttons in the pad 1 tab they are brake + brake - all the time. I shall try the development build

Okay I tried the rapid fire once more and it seems it is working but not as frequently as expected and feels somewhat buggy somewhere (can't really explain that part yet), I think besides adding the ability to configure the frequency of sending the button's input in milliseconds adding options to play activation/deactivation sounds or some other form of alerting the user to what state the button is being put in would also be appreciated.
