Loading Game Abortion
#1
Hi there. Just want to report that I can't open PS2 games!
Here's my situation: I've got Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 in ISO format (yes, it is PS2 version!) and when I try to load it just appears a white screen.

Installed:
PCSX 0.9.6: YES
XQuartz-2.6.3: YES
Cg-3.0.0007: YES

*in BIOS folder I have the following files:
-SCPH39001.bin
-SCPH 70012 (S) (v12) (U) [v02.00] [14-06-2004] ©.MEC
-SCPH 70012 (S) (v12) (U) [v02.00] [14-06-2004] ©.NVM
-SCPH 70012 (S) (v12) (U) [v02.00] [14-06-2004] ©.ROM0

When it happens (which is every time i try to load the game) X11 gives this: http://pastebin.com/qbihk2Pt

Order of events (detailed): I open pcsx2 and it starts automatically both PCSX2 and X11; I load the ISO file and gives a BIOS error (says it can't find the bios); I go to configure, click OK and retry to load the ISO file and it runs; then a white window titled "ZeroGS" appears and a few seconds disappears; and X11 gives this in return (http://pastebin.com/qbihk2Pt)

*update*
I'm on a 1.83GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Mac Mini running Snow Leopard OS X

Thanks,
CubriC

First of all, the mac version has a low compatibility list so don't be surprised if it doesn't work.

However, you should update your graphics plugin to zzogl pg 0.1.0

Get it here: http://pcsx2mac.net/files/ZZOglPG.0.1.0.dmg
This is how you install it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZNE-izx5yU
Then make sure the "No Log Z" is checked in the graphics settings.

Also, try running your bios (no disc) from the file menu and see if you can see the ps2 starting screen. If this works, and you try to open your iso to no avail, then the game probably doesn't work.

Good luck.

Thank you! But didn't work anyway. Still's happening the same error...

Just tried it and i got the white screen again, could you perhaps direct me to a better bios file that actually works? lol
It's that I've Selected the Bios dir on pcsx2 configure and it couldn't find so I changed directory and configured it again and worked but then I tried again and same error appeared (that couldn't find the BIOS dir). Maybe a new bios file? lol

Thanks for replying*

Okay I have a similar issue. Except this works for me. So I know my bios works. I get the ps2 starting screen and menu but no matter what iso I try or how many different versions I try to download, I can't seem to get anything to work. If anything, the game will launch for a split second and only get to the sponsor logos before freezing and locking up my whole computer. Any suggestions?

I'm trying to play Kingdom Hearts and for some reason I can't find a iso out there that works for the life of me. It would be so much easier if the discs just worked.

Thanks

Could you, WingsLikeEagles, provide any direction for me to download that or any working B*OS through any communication service but this forum?

Don't worry about it Wink
And btw, it's just being annoying that problems aren't solved.

Anyway, Thanks for you who tried (and are trying) to help Smile
