Low FPS Question
#1
Good evening,

I'm interested in running the game 'MVP 07 NCAA Baseball'. It runs fine, right around 60 FPS on the menus and what not, however when I enter a game, it immediately drops to 15-35 FPS, making it unbearable. I was wondering if someone would please refer me to the issue and/or a possible resolution for this issue. My system information is as follows.

CPU: AMD Phenom II quad core 3.4 ghz
RAM: 8 GB
DirectX Version: 11 (I have no idea what this is or what it means)
Graphics Card: ATI Radeon HD 4300/4500 Series
PCSX2 Version: 0.9.8
I believe all settings have remained untouched. I edited them a little bit, but used the 'clear all settings' option.

Thanks for your help and understanding my inability to solve such technical issues.

Try these:

1. Download latest PCSX2 SVN:

http://pcsx2.net/download/development/svn.html

2. Enable speedhacks including MTVU

3. Tick "Native" box in GSdx

4. Change EE/IOP and VU Clamp modes to "None" in Emulation Settings

This worked a bit better, but still seems to run at about 30-40 FPS, about 20 slower than ideal play. Any other tips?

Thank you for such a speedy response.

Since you GPU were pretty weak, provided also AMD procesors had bad performance with PCSX2, you can try more aggressive settings such as:

1. Set a custom resolution like 384x384 (you'll lose eye candy and suitable if you prefer speed over quality)

2. Disable Texture filtering in GSdx

Make sure you're using DX11 version of GSdx and upgrade you GPU if got some bucks
