Low fps
#1
Hey people.
I have trouble playing most games on this emulator, i usually get 40 fps and that makes it go into slowmotion and ruins the audio totally. It works fine all the game menu's, but as soon as i go ingame, most games goes slowmotion.

EE/IOP is on default, haven't touched it.
Vu's are on default as well.
Im using a Ps3 controller to play the games.
I run iso's, i couldn't get the dvd's to work, so i got my friend to make me them into iso files.
And i also posted the game i had success with and the games i had NO success with, and those games listed there is basically all of those im trying out so far.
I run windows 7 ultimate 64bit by the way.

okay firstly pull that EE Cyclerate slider on the speedhacks tab right back down again, that will cause problems and probably have a reverse effect of a speed increase.

on the same tab tick "MTVU" and see how that runs.

Burnout 3 takedown works just fine now, but ratchet dreadlocked still only runs at 30fps, It runs like its in slowmotion.

Hmm, not sure what you can do there.. The only other setting i can see that you can change is the interpolation on spu2-x, its set to the slow one (as it says Tongue) set it to the option that has "Fast" next to it.

Other than that... Don't know if your cpu is holding you back. SSE4 brings some nice performance increases on the emulator, something which AMD's (Before Bulldozer) cant do Sad

yeah i knew the performance would be reduced because my processor only supports up to SSE3.
But when the piledriver series is released then i'll change to the Fx 8350

some games are quite demanding and can run slow even on powerful machines. whenever there are high details in graphics then there will be slowdowns. menu screens normally have low detail so there are no slowdowns
