Okay. Problem solved.
I got a 9600GT earlier this week(after my 7600GT broke down) and a 500W corsair PSU, and I'm happy to say I've had NO slowdown, no probs till then. Everything runs perfect and smooth, I'm able to run most PS2 games at 80-100%. All great
Guess my old GPU was the culprit in the first place.
I wanna thank everyone who took the trouble to reply and try to solve my problem. This was my first post here and I got a great response. Thanks everyone!
EDIT : And yeah, temps are pretty nice now too. I get 50-60 C on the cpu while playing pcsx2. Earlier it was 60-70c. I think a branded PSU was much needed. The corsair one helps a lot for my system.
