MGS3:Snake Eater Pixelated/Blurry
#1
I'm a bit new but so far I can get the game to run with good frames and no visual problems, aside from this constant blur/pixel effect that makes it pretty hard to distinguish objects from afar. I was wondering if anyone else has this issue and if they know what's going on, how to fix it?

Please post the contents of the emulog.txt file after the problem occurs. The file can be found in "My Documents\PCSX2\logs" for the installer version or in "PCSX2\logs" for the portable/binary version.

Please make sure to enclose your emulog in code tags like so (remove the empty space on the closing code tag!):
[code]
Pasted emulog goes here

I'll be sure to do this once I get home from work, along with my gs settings. I would've added more detail but only had a few minutes before needing to leave.

MGS3 would been strict to x1 native when you are in OGL since the newest build has attempted to see the real looks as the real PS2
all you need to try is to switch to direct3d.

I'm pretty sure I'm running direct3d 11 on hardware mode.

Here's my plugin settings. I think they're standard.

Yeah, that's an extreme improvement to what I have currently.

GSdx settings--->enable HW hacks--->set advanced hacks and settings as shown on attachment.

if you can't see the picture it supposed to be enable auto flush and half-pixel offset is "normal(vertex)"

I've set everything the same, but it doesn't seem to have changed anything. Out of curiousity I've switched to a higher resolution (5x Native) and the problem does clear up. The frames absolutely tank when going into the radio or pause menu on 5x though, and average at 44 during gameplay.
