If there's one thing I don't like, it's finding out that a game I like to play has a bug that hasn't been fixed yet. This is common in the world of emulation. But the one thing I dread is finding out that one of my favorite games has a bug that hasn't been fixed for years. In this case, the game in question is MX Unleashed.
When driving around any level, you'll often see major texture glitches on the ground. Additionally, you'll often run into clusters of crazy vertex explosions, often completely blocking your view. In a game about always needing to see directly in front of you and directly behind you, this is a harmful bug. I've tried every possible combination of settings, and nothing gets rid of them. Here's a select few in the first course of the game:

Here's the annoying part. Not only does Software rendering not fix this, but it also makes it worse! Software rendering adds crazy colors to those vertex explosions, making them even more likely to induce seizures. Here's some of the same ones but using Software rendering:

Again, every time a new update has come out that claims to fix rendering errors in games, I fire up MX Unleased in the latest dev build at the time and try every possible combination of settings to see if it's been fixed. These recordings were made using the latest 1.7.0 build at the time of me typing this. Although I've been trying this since the 1.4.0 builds, this issue has been reported all the way back in the 1.2.0 days. This example is from the second game in the series, but it's the same game engine and the same issue:

The game functions perfectly otherwise, and since Cxbx-reloaded can't play the game yet, PCSX2 is the only way to emulate this game currently. It would be nice if someone could take a deeper look into this. For a bug that's eluded PCSX2 devs for this long, it must be hidden somewhere deep in the code and not where people would think to look.
