ZZOgl works, but it's waaaaay too slow, 5fps in the bios, 12fps in FFX-2.

I don't have Windows on this machine anymore, but when I did I remember testing GSdx with Direct3D, FFX actually ran at 50fps most of the time.

Yep, it miss UBO extension support and probably a couple of others. And unfortunately I don't think mesa will support it for those older chips. On windows it is must easier the chip got a full driver Wink People will upgrade in 1 years or 2 anyway Wink

Can you generate me a gdb backtrace of GSdx crash? Attach gdb when the assertion windows pop up and dump all thread (thread apply all bt full).

I'm bit lost, the 2nd picture is on zzogl or GSdx?

Pictures are on zzogl both, GSdx crashes in both systems.
The Intel GM45 system shows the squares and outlines without the colors and pictures of the squares, the sandy bridge graphics system just shows a full dark shadow.
Please, tell me how to generate the gdb backtrace, I have no clue how to do what you asked me.
When pcsx2 crashes, I can copy the popped up window message, but I am not able to copy the full text from the console, any button I press exits the program.

Zzogl need texture float maybe it isn't activated on 1 driver system.

For gdb it is easy, run pcsx2 until the popup. Go into another xterminal
Use the following command to attach a gdb to your current pcsx2 program (depends on the executable name on your system)

I am sorry I am a bit lost here.
I enter gdb pcsx2 'pidof pcsx2' in the terminal and it tells me there is no such file or directory.
When it says it is reading /usr/games/pcsx2, it also says that no debugging symbols where found. (Notice it is a free translation, I don't get the message in English).

Which command to you use to launch pcsx2 (pcsx2, pcsx2-dbg, others?). You need to use this one in the gdb command. Maybe you might need the relative path.
For example somethings like that

gdb /home/gregory/emulator/bin/pcsx2 `pidof pcsx2`

Edit: you need to launch pcsx2 before gdb and then attach gdb to the pcsx2 process.
If it is still complaining about symbol you might need a debug build (but normally you must be already have them)

I installed from ppa (pcsx2-unstable), so pcsx2 is at /usr/games/ I think.
I am afraid I have no debug build.
I give that path but the issue I think it is on the pidof statement, it keeps saying no such file or directory.
I am sorry I don't know what the pidof is, but it seems it insists on looking at it by the /home/user/ folder.
Maybe it is the lack of a debug build, but I have no idea about all this.

Did you try to install: pcsx2-unstable-dbg?
pidof just get the pid of pcsx2, you can get it with a "ps aux |grep pcsx2" (2nd column) otherwise
