Metal Gear 2 substance running slow

I'm newer with emulators, so I have dowloaded METAL GEAR 2 SUBSTANCE and I'm running defalt setup. But the game is running slow. Can you help me?
My PC is using pentium 4 hipertreading with 2GB of ram.
