Metal Gear Solid 2 Recommended Settings?

Hey everybody, I'm trying to get MGS2 to run as close to 60 fps I can, but I seem to get slowdowns to 40fps in certain areas or when multiple enemies show up, i'm wondering if anybody could let me know what they are using for their speedhack settings to try to improve my fps. Thanks.

Specs:
i5-3570k @ 4.4 GHz
AMD 280X @ 1000 MHz
16GB RAM

if you are talking about the tanker part, best is to use software mode + 3 extra rendering threads.
hardware mode will be ok for the rest of the game.

I'm actually talking about the plant part of the game, it seems to be when i'm outside, or some indoor areas, and also when I get caught and more people start appearing.

I have spin detection, wait loop detection, mVU flag hack, MTVU hack enabled.
