Metal Gear Solid 3 Subsistence
#1
Issue is that the game gets stuck at the Playstation 2 screen. It briefly moves to the bottom, then returns to the middle and stays there. There are no errors in the console. Other PS2 ISOs run fine (this is an old ISO).

Here is copypasta of the console.

Other games work, this one doesn't. I made this ISO at LEAST 4 years ago, and it's been sitting on my external HDD since. I burned it and it played fine with Swap Magic on my PS2, just can't get it to work on this emulator. Any ideas that aren't reinstall the emulator?

re-create your ISO via Imgburn.

I'll give that a try.

ok, it works now. Any idea what I can do to speed up the cutscenes? At certain parts, the video and audio slow down to a slow motion type crawl. Even when running through the jungle with lots of stuff in view this happens.. I have a GTX 570.

Try Software mode? Press F9 to switch to Software and/or Hardware to get it back Smile

Slowed down everywhere, instead of just certain parts. Thx anyway.

Some of the speed hacks helped, but it's still noticeable. Is my processor not pro enough?

your i5 you haved is the 1st generation cpu model i think best to change it to the latest i5 models.
2nd gen (sandy bridge) has exceed 3 Ghz
and there a 2nd part of the 2nd gen intel-i is coming this april (Ivy bridge) if you want to wait.
1 more thing
w/ the latest intel-i you may able to use AVX it's the predecessor of sse4 it will improve speeds on SW mode.
