try latest git instead of 1.4.0, then

Yup, that seemed to have worked. Can I use the same saves from 1.4.0? I've also been playing Midnight Club 3 Dub Edition Remix.

you just need to transfer your memcard files.
they will work the same way.
Savestates will be incompatible, though.

Ok. Thank you! I wanted to play these games to get my fix of car customization until the next Need for Speed comes out Tongue

I've been playing for a while now, and I noticed that the EE is almost always at 100%, which causes fps drops, and my cpu runs pretty hot at around 80-90C. Is there a way to reduce those?

Yes.
Avoid using CPU intensive applications (like pcsx2) on your PC and buy an aftermarket cooler.

I meant like is there a setting on pcsx2 that reduces cpu a bit. Also, I'm using a gaming laptop, so no customization.

definitely not.
pcsx2 is CPU hungry, and NFS series require a hefty computer.

Not much you can do apart from getting a powerful desktop gaming pc

Ah, all right. It's not like I'm using a craptop, it has an I7 7820HK with a GTX 1070. I'll just keep an eye on the temp then.
