Namco X Capcom constantly crashing

I've been playing Namco X Capcom for a couple of months, and it was working great, but about a week ago, the emulator started consistently crashing after about 10-30 minutes of play. I am using Windows 10, version 1.2.1 r5875 and iirc have the default plugin settings.

In order to help you further with your problem, please make sure the following are all provided.

• Your hardware specs - CPU, Graphics Card, Memory, Operating System.
  
• The version of PCSX2 you are using.
  
• Any non default settings you are using.
  
• What games you are trying to play and if you are playing them from ISO or DVD.

Sorry, but I'm not exactly savvy on how to access my specs. I thought 3 out of 4 would be good enough. Fortunately, I followed another thread's advice of switching the audio from XAudio to DirectSound and it seems to have fixed the problem.
