I really want to play an old time favorite game and i cant seem to make it work it lags and has color problems

pcsx2 only uses 2 or 3 cores of your cpu. sadly bulldozer does not perform too well due to low single thread strength. you could overclock your cpu to 4 ghz. mtvu actually works despite the goofy modules system.

I think those games are playable in software mode.
but as Datank said, your bulldozer CPU won't be powerful enough to handle this.
