Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2 - Busted Scene Glitch
#1
Exclamation
When you are racing in Hot Pursuit mode and are pulled over by the police, the "Busted" scene plays
but it displays black/white graphics instead and runs *very* slow (10 frames per second). Otherwise the game runs fine.

Anyone know this issue/have any ideas?

Edit: I did not know the PS2 version "busted" scene was normally in black & white ~ I normally play the PC version which is in color.

It's broken on either renderer to date. Special kind of effect that is not easy to emulate.

I tried open gl and it *does* run better, but still the lack of colors and somewhat slow.

Thanks for the info. I'm going to try some of the manual hacks like MPEG skip and see what happens.

If anyone has a fix - greatly appreciated!

It'll probably work in Software mode (F9) but you will unlikely want to play the game in that

It works fine in native PS2 renderer for Direct 3D or Open GL, and also software mode as you mentioned. I was doing x2 resolution and the game runs great, except when you get pulled over and the busted scene plays. Then it runs like hell. I didn't bother playing Hot Pursuit mode until recently in x2 resolution.

Hi, made an account so I can post a potential fix for this. I use Direct3D 11 Hardware and disabling Large Framebuffer in Config>Video(GS)>Plugin Settings fixed this issue. Hopefully this helps!

Some time ago i created cheat to disable that broken effect. That should help with slowdown on any render.
