Need for Speed: MW (Can't detect X button?)

I'm having the same issue as this thread on the Windows Support.

Hey guys i need help under standing why my NFS most wanted game on PCSX 0.9.8 does not read my X button. all my other games do but not this one help please i really need help understanding.

No solutions were offered.
