Need help with configs

Hello guys,I have installed PCSX2 today,to play Def Jam Fight for New York,and im' having problems with performance,it is slow,the audio and the game too,are slow,when im on a fight it is slow,when not on a fight it is good,but when I start to fight,it is really slow,in the topic to know if my pc will run it,it says my PC can run it,so i resumed that my problem is the configs,cause i dont know the perfect config to play this,my pc specs are 
-Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 3.16 Ghz Dual core
-GT 240 
-4 GB RAM
Does anyone here have a similar specs like mine,that can help me to configurate it? I really want to play my favorite childhood game,I tried youtube configuration videos (actually just one) and it doesnt helped me,so I escaped here,plz help!

What PCSX2 version are you using? I'll tell you now that you won't get much further with your current CPU/GPU setup.

Switch to OpenGL, it should give you a little better performance.
