I just bought a new computer. I have an intel dual core @ 2.80 ghz and 8 gb ram. I have a terrible stock gpu. I just ordered a geforce GT 240 from Newegg. My question is will this new graphics card boost my frame rates in pcsx2?

GT 240 is not terrible and still a good and modern gpu....all we want to know is the cpu what model name? e.g. E6750,E7200,E7400,Q9400,etc.
Edit:in fact that GT 240 is good than my current gpu(look siggy)

best to try it depend what game, just remind that not all games is full speed on most 3d games like SO3(intense demanding) and that rig i rated is moderate-good..due to sse4.1 support and hi-bandwidth gpu

gt240 is 8800gt/9800gt but is created using 40-nanometre fabrication process which means it consumes less power and produces less heat compared to earlier models. Good enough not to be the bottleneck in emulation.
