New CPU and still games run slow...

Hi, I just buy a new CPU, MB and RAM and PCSX2 still run slow.

This are my specs:

I select SSE4 but I see no difference with my old Core 2 Quad Q6700.

What I'm doing wrong?

Do I need a new video card?

1.5GHZ likely won't cut it for a lot of games. If possible go into your BIOS and disable, C1E and the C-State functions for the CPU, also go into Windows Power Management (From within Windows) and check your CPU power settings, make sure the Minimum setting is set to 100%.
Computer specifications:
Windows 10 | Ryzen 3700X | ASUS Crosshair VIII Hero (WiFi) | MSI 1070Ti | 16GB 3600MHz RAM

1.5ghz? the i7 920 was 2.66ghz IIRC.

your GTX 250 is about par with a 9800GT, So if you're using higher then 2x scaling you'll run into issues (some games i couldn't even go higher then native.) And that could be the cause of your lack of performance increase.

Can you overclock your CPU? that will also give you a nice boost in speed. if you can.
Intel Core i7-8700k @5ghz
G.Skill 16GB DDR4 @3600mhz
GeForce GTX 1080 8GB
Windows 10 x64

It's a Core i7 920 @2.6 GHz.

I don't have scaling on, I activate the preset speed hack on level 3 and Fight Night Round 2 runs like a 1920's movie...

I can overclock my CPU and probably I will do it in a few days, but I think that even at stock speed I should see an improment on the speed.

depends...
what was the clockrate of your Q6700 ?
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
Mobo : Asus PRIME B450-PLUS
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
RAM : 16 Go

stock clock of the Q6700 was 2.66ghz like the i7 (nerd here Tongue)

I dunno how demanding fight night is, but my guess is demanding, use the latest SVN and activate MTVU speed hack, report back see if it helped

From the screenshot I can see low EE and GS CPU percentages.
This could mean your graphic card is overburdened.
Please show us your PCSX2 and GSdx configurations, we cannot help without knowing what you're using.

Yes, I also noted that when EE is at lest at 50% the game runs better but thats more an exception than a rule.

This are my settings:

Some games can run at an acceptable speed to full speed at 2.66GHz, and some requires over 3+GHz. A stock Core i7 920 is nothing special, it only shines when it's overclocked above 3ghz in pcsx2. What games did you tried to run?
