make sure your laptop's cooling system is efficient, because your CPU is clearly having a hard time making the game run.

ok so bottomline its useless for me to even try to run my ps2 games on this laptop right? might as well stick with my console?

I think you will have a better experience on your PS2. But you can try what jesalvein said.

You can definitely play some of the less demanding games on that system. Like Final Fantasy X.
