Nightly (newest 64-bit) versions crash with Error 0xc0000005

Immediately upon running either updater.exe, pcsx2-qtx64-avx2.exe, or pcsx2-qtx64.exe I get the error:

"The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000005). Click OK to close the application."

I know someone else posted a similar message years ago, and rebooting fixed his issue. It hasn't fixed mine. I've tried reinstalling/repairing x64 and x86 vc++ redists.

The latest stable build runs just fine.

Maybe my question should be, what are the primary differences between the latest stable versions and the current nightly versions?

I'm running win7 x64 ultimate, 8gb ram, i5-3570k cpu, gtx 1650 video card.

Anyone know what could be wrong?

Looks like I figured out the problem myself, and noticed in the setup guide you mention windows 10 is required.

As of Qt6 Windows 7 isn't supported without specific modified DLLs (qt6core.dll, qt6gui.dll, qwindows.dll) . Some are doing that elsewhere (I'm not allowed to post urls)

Problem for us is, their modified DLLs aren't enough to get pcsx2 to work.

You might want to update the wiki to mention that Windows 7 is about to lose support entirely and doesn't work at all for nightly builds. That's what I looked at first, rather than the setup guides. If you're really nice, you could included working modded Qt6 DLL's for Win7 users. I won't hold my breath on that one

the wiki tends to be outdated and pcsx2 team doesn't run it anyways.

we clearly state that win 7 is unsupported, and those modified DLLs aren't ours either.

you can use them if you want, but it's not our problem if they crash
