No CRC in emulog and cheats for FFXII
#1
Okay, I know that this subject has been brought up alot but I just can't get mine to work. So here are the things that I may or may not be doing wrong.
Running Windows 7 64bit
Download PCSX2 0.9.7 (r3878) (beta)
File located > Computer > Local Disk (CSmile > Emulator
Created: New Text Document on Desktop
Renamed: Text Document > 0779fbdb.txt
-----------------------------------------------------------------
gametitle= Final Fantasy XII [SLUS 20312] (U)
comment=8x Exp Gained (After Battle)
//patch=1,EE,203B3D34,word,00000000
//patch=1,EE,203B3EE4,word,0002A8C0

comment=4x LP Gained (After Battle)
//patch=1,EE,203B404C,word,00031080
//patch=1,EE,203B4054,word,00031080
----------------------------------------------------------------
Renamed: 0779fbdb.txt > 0779fbdb.pnach
Placed .pnach file in "Cheats" folder in > Computer > LDisk(CSmile > Emulator
Run PCSX2 shortcut on Desktop
Check Enable Cheats option in "System" tab
Run Final Fantasy XII and receive this in log:
[wx] can't open file 'cheats\.pnach' (error 2: the system cannot find the file specified.)

Oh wow that was fast, thanx man. I thought that might have been the problem but I can't locate the CRC in the emulog so I just grabbed that CRC from the forums and crossed my fingers. lol

Oh and real quick I have read most of your post's including helpful comments from Bositman and Shadow Lady so a "thank you" to you all. Each one of you are very informative and knowledgeable in all posts and threads. Also, just read your earlier post on "cheating for dummies" very informative but sadly didn't help.

Okay so as most can probably already tell there is no CRC line, i tried re-imaging the ISO tried mounting the ISO on a V-drive and today I'm going to get the game in question back from my friend and try again I suppose, any ideas in the meantime of what might be wrong will be helpful.

Okay, got the game in the drive and changed the .pnach file accordingly
Code:
gametitle= Final Fantasy XII [SLUS_209.63] (U)
comment=8x Exp Gained (After Battle)
//patch=1,EE,203B3D34,word,00000000
//patch=1,EE,203B3EE4,word,0002A8C0

comment=4x LP Gained (After Battle)
//patch=1,EE,203B404C,word,00031080
//patch=1,EE,203B4054,word,00031080
Now not even sure the code will work now since the address had changed and the CRC is still not coming up in the emulog so ran into a brick wall there as well....here is the emulog in question with the actual game in the D: drive not a V-drive.

Code:
